More than half (in monetary terms) of the produce grown in the Netherlands is processed by the food, drink and tobacco industry. This includes meat processing companies, the dairy sector, animal feed manufacturers and producers of alcoholic drinks. Some of the largest are Unilever, DSM, Heineken and Friesland Coberco Dairy Foods. They sell their products worldwide.
